Hi! My name is Elias Aquino! Since a young age, I was intrigued by music! I remembered there were a few times when we learned about music symbols and basics in school, and I just wanted to learn everything there was to it!
I would skip lunch at school, and try to teach myself on this old, broken, dusty, out-of-tune piano that had been thrown into an old storage room.
Later, my schools had a formal music theory basics class, and I loved it! I ate all the material up! I took after-school guitar lessons, and kept teaching myself piano. Eventually, I took the AP Music Theory course, and the teacher gave me formal Piano lessons. In college, on top of going Pre-Med and majoring in Environmental Science and Music, I placed into Advanced Music Theory courses, took Orchestration courses, and Conducting courses, all the while participating in the Choir and taking Organ Lessons for those 4 years.
In my year abroad in Germany, I played Organ for a retirement home.
